Daughters of the King

Milwaukee Diocese

Retired Bishop Roger J. White is a former national DOK Chaplain and was largely responsible for bringing the DOK to Milwaukee.  The Milwaukee DOK sent a congratulatory gift to Bishop White on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of his consecration, October 2009.

We received this lovely note in reply.

Dear Diocese of Milwaukee Daughters,

Pru and I just returned from a trip to the Northeast - God's Fall show in all its glory!

We returned to a bin full of mail in which we found your kind card and most generous gift - Thank You!

My anniversary celebration was a great affair - 150 people from all over the diocese at 12:00 noon on a Thursday!!  Following was an elegant luncheon reception at the DeKoven Center in "the Bishop's Garden," which I tend.  A great celebration and we were most grateful.

We are both well, caring for two 90-year old in-laws who live two miles away.  Seeing lots of our three children and their four children.  We escape for three months in winter to Pawley's Island, S.C., where we have gone for 25 years.

My thanks to all the Daughters - keep praying and growing and loving; we need people of prayer.

You are often in my thoughts and prayers.

With best wishes, prayers and Blessings Galore.

+ Roger
